While the Attorney General acts as an advocate for the people of Illinois - both in and out of court - the Office cannot represent individual Illinois residents in lawsuits.
A number of law schools, bar associations and nonprofit organizations across the state offer pro bono legal advice and representation for those who are unable to afford legal services.
