Title: Assistant Director VCVA/VINE

Division: Crime Victim Services

Location: Springfield/Chicago/Regional

Under the direction of the Director of Violent Crime Assistance Program (VCVA) and Victim Information & Notification Everyday (VINE) program, the Assistant Director will provide assistance and support in the administration of the VCVA and the VINE programs. The Assistant Director shall assist the Director in providing guidance, training, and supervision for VCVA and Vine Staff. They will be responsible for assisting with the monitoring of the electronic grant management system; providing support to staff; monitoring workflow; assisting with monitoring and management of the VINE system; creating and implementing departmental policies and procedures; and managing required deadlines.

The Assistant Director is also responsible for routine duties of grant monitoring including the day-to-day activities in the administration of the programs and assists with trainings organized by the Division for the benefit of VCVA grantees.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires completion of an undergraduate degree with a course of study in a relevant field, and at least three (3) years of grant management experience. Experience in the use of the electronic grant management system and Microsoft applications is desired. Additional requirements include: skills in analyzing, appraising and organizing facts, and presenting material in clear and logical form. Attendance, the ability to travel, and the ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public are essential functions of this position.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
