SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the Deputy Attorney General for Policy, the Digital Strategist shall be responsible for managing all Office of the Illinois Attorney General (OAG) social media accounts and monitoring, updating, and addressing interactions with the OAG social media accounts. The Digital Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing proactive communication strategies using social media while working closely with policy, press, communications, and event planning teams. In addition, they will research, develop, and design content for social media, including informational materials for constituents, and content to accompany press announcements and upcoming events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a bachelorís in communications, public relations, or related field with two years of related work experience. Strong writing and editing skills and experience executing social media strategy, projects, and assignments independently are required. The ability to speak clearly and articulately, exercise discretion, good judgement, and demonstrate problem-solving skills are also requirements of the position. Attendance and the ability to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public are essential functions of this position.

HOURS OF WORK: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday)
