Special Investigator JoAnne D. Stewart accepts the Public Official of the Year Award on behalf of Attorney General Lisa Madigan from Larry Doria, Chairman of the Illinois Security Chiefs Association Board at its annual holiday awards luncheon. Attorney General Madigan was honored with other women who have played a significant role in ensuring the safety of Illinois citizens. 

Special Investigator JoAnne D. Stewart accepts the Public Official of the Year Award on behalf of Attorney General Lisa Madigan from Larry Doria, Chairman of the Illinois Security Chiefs Association Board at its annual holiday awards luncheon.  Attorney General Madigan was honored with other women who have played a significant role in ensuring the safety of Illinois citizens.  The organization is comprised of a group of public and private law enforcement and safety officials who are dedicated to improving public safety in the state.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan joins Philip Nelson, president of the Illinois Farm Bureau, at its Annual Meeting’s VIP luncheon.  The Annual Meeting hosts more than 350 delegates from 96 county farm bureaus in Illinois to discuss policies and decisions that will shape the direction of the organization.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan looks on as Bruce Gottschall, Executive Director of Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago (NHS), delivers testimony before a meeting of the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government Appropriations in Chicago. Madigan testified on the impact of the mortgage foreclosure crisis on homeowners in Illinois and across the country. She and Gottschall were joined by representatives of the federal government and banking industry. The meeting was chaired by U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), whose theme was, “Helping Families Save Their Homes: Is Treasury’s Strategy Really Working?

Attorney General Lisa Madigan joins dog trainer Jeff Jenkins, left, the rescued pit bull terrier Jay, representatives of law enforcement and The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) to announce a reward program to combat animal fighting during a news conference in Chicago. The reward program, administered by The HSUS, offers up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any people involved in illegal animal fighting.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan joins newly sworn-in Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez following her oath of office ceremony in Chicago. Alvarez is the first woman and Hispanic to be elected state’s attorney after having served for 22 years as an assistant state’s attorney.
