2/22/07 Internet Safety Night at New Trier High School
Attorney General Lisa Madigan Thursday speaks to parents at New Trier High School’s Northfield Campus prior to the start of an Internet Safety Presentation delivered by Michael Sullivan, Deputy Bureau Chief of her High Tech Crimes Bureau. Sullivan answers a question from a parent to keep their children’s online activity safe. The event was sponsored by the New Trier Parent Association’s (NTPA) Class of 2009.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan Thursday speaks to parents at New Trier High School’s Northfield Campus prior to the start of an internet safety presentation delivered by Michael Sullivan, deputy bureau chief of her High Tech Crimes Bureau. Later, Sullivan answers a question from a parent to keep their children’s online activity safe. The event was sponsored by the New Trier Parent Association’s (NTPA) Class of 2009. Sullivan is a 27-year veteran of law enforcement and a leading expert on Internet crime, spearheads the Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children (I-CAC) program and conducts trainings for law enforcement, educators, parents and children throughout Illinois. Thomas Cleaves, Amy Chochola, Greg Humphrey, Frank Wascher, Jr., Charles Mascolino and Christopher Botzum during the Exchange Club of Joliet’s 2006 Police Officer of the Year Awards. Madigan was the keynote speaker at the event during which the six officers were recognized as Police Officers of the Year for their collective efforts to thwart an armed robbery in October of 2005.

The one-day training focuses on fundraising for Special Olympics Illinois. Officers who have had successful Torch Run fundraisers in the past will present best practices for those who have never participated before.

Madigan was the keynote speaker at the event during which Boland received the Citizen Crime Prevention Award and Feld received the 2007 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year award on behalf of her husband, Quincy Police officer Gil Feld.
