Reimbursement Guidelines

Pursuant to 20 ILCS 4026/19, the Sex Offender Management Board’s requirement to reimburse for evaluation services:

The Board will reimburse per the following guidelines:

• Services must be completed by an SOMB Approved Provider.  A list of SOMB Approved Providers can be accessed at:

www.illinoisattorneygeneral.gov/communities/somb/somb.providers.html

• Documentation of determination of indigence must be provided, which may include the inability to pay for counsel and cost of evaluation services.

• All reimbursements are subject to availability of funds.

Reimbursement for Evaluation Services:

• SOMB will reimburse the supervising agency up to $500 for the cost of a juvenile or adult sex offender evaluation required pursuant to 20 ILCS 4026/16.

• Requests for reimbursement must include:

  • SOMB Reimbursement Request Form (Revised 4/5/2010)

  • Proof of Determination of Indigence (Court documentation appointing a public defender)

  • Copy of Invoice submitted by the SOMB Approved Provider and/or their Agency

  • Copy of Cancelled Check as Proof of Payment from the Agency requesting reimbursement

Please allow six to eight weeks for reimbursement to be processed.
