The Environmental Bureau is charged with enforcement of Illinois environmental statutes and regulations, as they pertain to activities and facilities within or that affect the State of Illinois. The Illinois Attorney General plays a critical role in the enforcement of civil environmental laws. The Bureau handles enforcement actions referred to the Office by a number of state agencies, including the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA), Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), Illinois Department of Public Health, Illinois Department of Natural Resources and others. Cases are handled before administrative agencies as well as courts of law.
Salary: Salaries start at $57,000.
